Ample time is provided in class each day to complete the following assignments:

 What Is It? (Weekly Writing) and

Crack the Code (Critical Thinking)

 

 WHAT IS IT?: Students will write a narrative (story) based on a colored picture they have created from a doodle. Students need to include the shape planner and rough draft with the writing. These are passed out on Monday and are due by Friday. If this class assignment is not complete by Friday, students are then responsible for finishing it over the weekend (becoming weekend homework).

CRACK THE CODE: Crack the Code is a critical thinking assignment that will be given on Mondays. Students must explain their thinking/ reasoning for their answers. Again, these are due by Friday. As with the What Is It?, if they are not finished on Friday, they become weekend homework.
